SORAMI
SORAMI is a tea stand at Kasárenské námestie 1, opposite Kino Úsmev in the center of Košice. We are open Tuesday to Friday 09:30 – 17:30 and Saturday 10:00 – 17:00. Tereza prepares matcha here every day. You can taste usucha or matcha latte and ask about the differences between cultivars.
Besides matcha you'll also find the basic accessories at the stand. Chasen, chashaku and chawan, which will help you with preparation at home.
How we choose our matcha
At SORAMI we look for great matcha. We regularly test new matchas from suppliers across Europe and directly from Japanese farmers. I try each one first as usucha with just water, because usucha best reveals the flavor profile. Later I try the matcha as a latte too, to compare how it comes through in milk, which softens the flavor a little.
What we offer right now
Okumidori from Kagoshima. First harvest, stone-milled, a cultivar known for its deep green color and gentle sweetness. Packed in a handmade Japanese Kotodo tin.
